Date 2021 is fixed!

A big programme awaits the riders at the ABUS-Ruhrbike-Festival 2021. After the Corona pandemic made racing almost impossible last year, things are set to get back on track in Wetter (Ruhr) on 18 & 19 September 2021.  

In addition to the final of the international 3 Nations Cup, the final of the junior national league will also be held. The final points for the German champion's jersey in the U15 and U17 classes in cross country will be contested around the Harkortberg. After many years, the German Mountainbike League will return to Wetter in 2021, attracting more top athletes to NRW. In keeping with tradition, the local race series from the NRW Cup and the Pupils' Cup are also not to be missed. 

"After last year, we are especially happy to be able to offer our youth a perspective again. Our kids are happy about every race that they can now ride again," says organiser Nils Schäfer from the Mountainbike Club Bochum. This year there will again be support from the RSC Tretlager Ruhr and many other helpers who have faithfully supported the ABUS-Ruhrbike-Festival for years. Presumably, the coming racing season will not run completely smoothly either. "The safety of our athletes and visitors is of course our top priority. But we are full of hope that we will be able to make racing possible again in September 2021, even though the pandemic will certainly still have us firmly in its grip by then," says Nils Schäfer.
